NI Dental Finder exists to solve a real problem: patients across Northern Ireland struggle to find NHS dentists accepting new patients. We've created a free, comprehensive directory of 319 general NHS dental practices in Northern Ireland, making it easier for patients to:

- See real-time acceptance status
- Contact practices directly
- Access emergency dental services
- Understand NHS dental charges
How It Works
1. Search
Use our search tool to find NHS dentists by trust area or location. Filter by name, postcode, or town to narrow down your options.
2. Browse
View detailed information about each practice including contact details, address, phone number, and current acceptance status.
3. Contact
Call the practice directly to confirm availability, ask about registration, and book your appointment.
Our Data
Data Sources
We're committed to accuracy and transparency. Our data comes from:
- Business Services Organisation (BSO): The official NHS dental practice register for Northern Ireland. Published under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
- Practice Confirmations: Direct verification from dental practices to confirm contact details and acceptance status.
- Community Reports: Feedback from patients and the dental community to keep information current.
Data Accuracy
While we make every effort to keep information accurate and up-to-date, dental practice details can change. Practice acceptance status, opening hours, and contact information may change at short notice. Always phone the practice directly to confirm availability before visiting.
Open Government Licence
Dental practice data is sourced from the Business Services Organisation (BSO), published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. This licence allows us to freely use, modify, and redistribute the data provided that we acknowledge BSO as the source.

NI Dental Finder is built and maintained by a team of healthcare professionals and technologists dedicated to improving access to NHS dental care in Northern Ireland. We operate independently and are committed to providing a free, unbiased directory of all NHS dental practices.
Why We Do This
We know from personal experience how difficult it can be to find an available NHS dentist. Many patients spend hours making calls, only to be told practices are full. Some give up and either go without dental care or turn to private providers. This situation is unacceptable in a publicly funded healthcare system.
NI Dental Finder aims to cut through the confusion and give every patient quick, easy access to information about NHS dental practices in their area.
