April 2026 phone survey — Southern Trust is the standout

Of 325 NI general practices we phoned in April 2026, only 2 confirmed actively accepting new NHS patients — and both are in Southern Trust:

  • North Street Dental Care, Lurgan (BT67 9AH) — also a Dental Access Scheme (DAS) participant
  • Cathedral Quarter Dental, Newry (BT34 1AY)

Belfast, Northern, South Eastern, and Western Trusts each had zero practices confirm active acceptance during the same survey window. May 2026 update: Belfast Trust now has two self-confirmed accepting practices (Bridge Dental BT5, Cavehill Dental BT15) and South Eastern Trust has three (Comber BT23, Hamilton Road BT20, Bupa Dental Care Lisburn BT28), bringing the NI live total to seven currently-accepting practices.
