NI Dental Finder is Northern Ireland's free NHS dental directory. Here's how we work with practices.
Where do you sit in our April 2026 survey?
In April 2026 we phoned 325 NI NHS practices to capture NHS-acceptance status. 92 practices now have a confirmed status in the live directory (76 from the April phone survey plus 16 added since via the dashboard self-confirmation flow). The remaining 227 general practices show as “Contact for NHS Status” until they self-confirm.
If your listing is one of those 227 and the status shown isn't right — or if your acceptance position has changed since we called — you can update it in 30 seconds via your practice dashboard. We email a one-click confirmation link monthly to the address we hold on file. Find your listing →
What We Do
NI Dental Finder is a free, publicly accessible directory of 319 NHS dental practices across Northern Ireland. Our mission is to help patients find available dentists and understand their options for NHS dental care.
The directory uses official data from the Business Services Organisation (BSO), published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. There is no cost to practices to be listed — your practice is automatically included based on the official register.
We help patients discover your practice through:
- Location-based search by trust area, town, or postcode
- Real-time acceptance status (whether you're currently taking new NHS patients)
- Direct contact information for patient enquiries
- Clear service information and emergency care guidance

Data Source: NI Dental Finder uses publicly available dental practice data from the Business Services Organisation (BSO), published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We do not store or process any additional practice data beyond what's in the BSO register, unless you choose to claim your listing and provide it voluntarily.
Data Protection: NI Dental Finder is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC113150. For information about how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
Open Government Licence: Dental practice data is sourced from BSO and published under the Open Government Licence v3.0, which allows free reuse of the data provided that we acknowledge BSO as the source.
