NHS Dentists in Belfast

Use the NI Dental Finder search tool and filter by Belfast HSCT. Each practice displays its current acceptance status: Currently Accepting, Limited Availability, Not Currently Accepting, or Contact to Enquire. You can also search by postcode (BT1–BT15) to find practices near you. Always ring the practice directly to confirm they're still accepting before making a trip.

Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (Belfast HSCT) covers Belfast city and surrounding areas served by practices in the city. Postcodes typically begin with BT1–BT15. If you're not sure which trust area you're in, use your postcode in the search tool and it will show you nearby practices.

The Dental Access Scheme (DAS) is a free NHS service for people who are not registered with an NHS dentist and have an urgent dental problem. You don't need to be a resident of Northern Ireland. Several options: (1) Ask to join a practice waiting list — some practices accept patients periodically. (2) Try neighbouring areas — Northern HSCT practices around Antrim and Ballymena may have availability. (3) Use the Dental Access Scheme if you have an emergency. (4) Contact your local health authority for support. (5) Private options exist but are more costly.

In Northern Ireland, patients pay 80% of the treatment cost up to a maximum of £384 per course of treatment. This applies to all NHS dentists regardless of location.
